This years begining

I've had the stomach flu something awful this week. Or maybe its food poisoning? To partially console myself I went out in the backyard and took a few pics of the state of my garden. It's a pretty sad state of affairs, really. The dogs have wreaked havoc on many plants, trampling them. This happens every year, as I have been unable to devise a way so far to have a trample-free garden while also having Maddie and Lucy hang out in the back yard (and not just their dog run). I love my dogs, I love my garden - with the merging of the two there are casualties every year.

There just are.

So these babies have avoided the trample so far, and are emerging into our beautiful March sunshine.
